what is rsvp reading?

RSVP (rapid serial visual presentation) shows text one word at a time in a fixed position, so your eyes never have to travel across a line or find the start of the next one. Because eye movement and line-tracking are a large part of reading effort, most people comfortably read 300–500 words per minute this way, with the pace fully under their control.

mono's focus reader tunes this further: each word is anchored at its optimal recognition point, longer words stay on screen a beat longer, sentence boundaries add a natural pause, and long hyphenated compounds are split so you always see one readable word at a time.
